27th May 2016 On the joyous occasion of the celebration of Her Majesty The Queen Mother, Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho’s 90thBirthday, on the 29th May 2016, The Prime Minister, Hon. Samuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva, with the Cabinet Ministers, and the Government joins the Royal Family and the People of the Kingdom of Tonga, in respectfully extending their heartiest wishes to Her Majesty The Queen Mother, Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho.
On this unique milestone of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday, the Government pays tribute to Her Majesty The Queen Mother’s numerous contributions to the Kingdom of Tonga’s development in Education, Health, People with Special Needs, the Aged, Empowerment of Women and Charitable Organisations, which has improved the welfare and the lives of many Tongans.
Her Majesty The Queen Mother’s wisdom, faith, compassion, commitment to charity and love for the people of Tonga has been witnessed in Tonga throughout the decades of Her Majesty’s Presence.
