23rd June, 2020 The Drug Enforcement Taskforce arrested two men with illicit drugs on Friday 19th June 2020 in Tongatapu, in an ongoing operation targeting drug dealers selling drugs from their vehicle.
Police arrested the two accused from Ma’ufanga and seized 0.87 grams of methamphetamine, 26 bullets and drug utensils.
The accused from Longolongo and Hofoa have been charged accordingly with possession of illicit drugs and illegal ammunition and to appear at the Magistrate Court later.
“Preventing illicit drugs supply is a high priority for Police, and we will continue to target those who supply drugs within our community and hold them to account for their crimes,” says A/DPC Vailea.
