Minister of Public Enterprises, Hon. Poasi Tei attended the program and he acknowledged the generous assistance from the people and government of Japan and their continuous support to the people of Tonga.

The first GGP project was implemented in Tonga in 1990, as part of Japan’s commitment to help the socio-economic development of Tonga. Japan has always put Education very highly on its list of priorities, since the GGP was introduced to Tonga, over 50 percent of the projects implemented have been related in providing assistance that will strengthen the learning quality and universal access to learning opportunities for children.
