ADVICE SUMMARY:
Tropical Cyclone (TC) “Ruby” (Category 2) was located near latitude 22.1 South and longitude 167.3 east or about 90km east of Noumea, New Caledonia, or 1820km west of Nukuálofa at 7:00pm 14th of December, 2021. The cyclone has average winds of 50knots (100 km/hr.) near its center and it is moving southeast at 15knots (30km/hr.). On its current forecast track, TC Ruby is not likely to affect Tonga at this stage.
